Outlandish items to bring on location to your villa rental
There are people who take the craziest belongings on vacation. Well, actually they don't - but imagine if they did. When you stay in a private villa, you can bring just about anything.
You know the type. They settle for nothing better than hotels when they travel. Poor them. They have to be all straightlaced and watch their Ps and Qs and follow so many rules. There are guests to respect . There are desk clerks and cleaning staff and bell hops and ... STOP!
Rent a vacation villa instead.
Yeah, a villa is a cool place where the only real rule is "Don't wreck the place." You can make as much noise as you want. You can run around nude. You can cook or even bake. Check out five of the most amazing things you can bring on location to a vacation villa that you most certainly cannot bring to a hotel.
PET GRIZZLY BEAR
Everybody loves a cute and cuddly grizzly bear - especially at feeding time. Everybody except the hotel staff, of course. And guests, too. They'll probably expect you to keep your pet grizzly "Grrrr" all alone at home. Who needs them, anyway? Rent a villa, and bring your bear on location. Imagine how much fun you could have partying with your pet grizzly. Invite your friends. Make some noise. Have a blast.
FRIENDS AND OTHER HUMANS
Did I mention friends? Indeed, bring your friends and other humans. Not just two or three. Not just bears, but real live humans. There's plenty of room for everyone - on the counter, in the sink, behind the couch, on the roof (OK, maybe that's going a bit too far). In a hotel there is just one room with typically one or two beds. That doesn't sound like much fun. In a villa there are two to three rooms and you can usually sleep 5 to six or even eight people comfortably (depending how you stack them) and so many more humans if you are in the right mentality.
FULL-SIZED THEATRE PIPE ORGAN
At a villa rental you are free to make more noise. In fact, your friends and other humans are making a ton of noise right now. So why not bring your impressive pipe organ? Because it might not fit? Yeah, you have a point. Even a vacation villa has limits, and most of the villas that I know just don't have doorways tall or large enough to accommodate a theatre organ. So you might want to bring your twenty-seven piece drum set complete with cymbals. Impress your friends and your pet grizzly "Grrrr". Let everyone join in the revelry and make a real party.
FULL-SPREAD BBQ
Room service happens. But you don't have to be there when it does. You can eat personally made food. At most rental villas, such as "Location Villa Espagne", you have access to a spacious patio perfect for a gourmet bar-b-cue set up. And you won't have the nuisance of people down the hall to complain that the smell is creeping into their room or that they want a twenty-seven piece drum set, too (not that people usually want a drum set in their hotel room. Just be careful that none of your friends and other humans bar-be-cues your pet grizzly "Grrrr". Or the other way around.
AWAY FROM HOME COOKING
A bar-be-cue is delicious, but what about home cooking? Well, a rental villa is a home. No, that doesn't mean you should cook the villa. But you can cook food on location in the villa. While you
