Working at a pet shop, getting a job on a farm, at a boarding kennel, as a bather for a dog groomer - these are just a few of the jobs you might be able to get without formal training. Other careers that may only involve minimum occupational training would be pet grooming and dog training, as well as becoming a massage therapist for pets and horses.

How much does the pet sitting company understand animal behavior? Ask them questions based on your own experience and see if they have the right answers. Ask questions related to nutrition, first aid, emergency procedures, and on other behavior that is specific to your pet.

This will create a positive connection in your dog's mind that says there is a reward associated with collar grab. Your frequent collar grabs during play time will now no longer signal end of play time but rather, time for refreshments or a quick timeout.

With time, if you can show them that your dog is well behaved and patient, you may be able to communicate to them that the dog is not going to do anything bad. But, first you must show that the dog is under control.
