No matter what you are doing there always should be rewards, especially with children. It does not have to be television or candy, it can be something productive and family oriented if you would like. This gets them cleaning and also thinking about responsibility. If you are in a flatting situation and no one will clean no matter what you do, bump up the price of expenses and hire a cleaner; it just makes sense.
